A notorious desert dwelling in Ivins, UT, that gained national attention as the place where parenting influencer Ruby Franke abused her children alongside disgraced therapist Jodi Hildebrandt has become the most viewed home on Realtor.com® this week.
The two pleaded guilty to child abuse in December. Franke and Hildebrandt were each sentenced to one to 15 years in prison for each of their four child abuse counts. Their sentences will run consecutively.
Hildebrandt’s house came on the market in January for $5.3 million. The price has since been reduced by $305,000.
The property captured a new wave of attention with the recent release of body cam footage, the discovery of a panic room, and an in-depth look at the case on “20/20.”
Now, curious followers of the case and true-crime fanatics are peering into Hildebrandt’s personal 9,124-square-foot residence where her YouTube channel was filmed, and where the supposed parenting gurus committed horrific acts against Franke’s children.
The two women were arrested after one of Franke’s children, her “emaciated” 12-year-old son, escaped through a window of the house that’s now on the market, and ran to the neighbor for help. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, responding officers found another one of Franke’s children, a 10-year-old daughter at the home, who was also malnourished.
