NBA standout Ben Simmons really wants to sell his luxury home in Hidden Hills, CA.
The oft-injured Brooklyn Nets forward paid $17.5 million for the modern farmhouse in 2021. Then he tried to flip it for $22 million just a year later.
Now, he’s hoping to find a buyer who’s on board with the new $17,495,000 price tag. However, bids are being accepted on the place in an upcoming, no-reserve auction. Bids are expected to begin in the $7 million-$12 million range, according to the listing details. Bidding will be open from April 18-April 30, if a buyer doesn’t step forward before then.
Simmons busy with real estate moves
The past few years have been busy off the court for Simmons. In 2021, he listed his mansion in Moorestown, NJ, for $5 million but ended up selling the place for $4.5 million.
And back when he played for the Philadelphia 76ers, he picked up a chic condo that had been on the market as a rental.
As for his massive manse near the Santa Monica Mountains, the seven-bedroom dwelling is in a class by itself.

Sheer luxury in Hidden Hills
This 12,000-square-foot abode is luxe by every measure. Plus, it’s private and secure, thank to the upscale community’s guarded gates.
Created by the architectural firm Nobel LA, the great room and dining space are divided by a floating, brass fireplace that wouldn’t be out of place at a posh ski resort in the Alps.
Other design details include 40-foot ceilings, glass walls, reclaimed wood, Preciosa chandeliers, and exposed steel beams. As befits a mansion of this size and opulence, there are two kitchens—one is a showpiece with sleek wood and marble, while the other is a professional-grade cook space teeming with durable stainless steel and commercial-grade appliances.
The main bedroom suite has its own fireplace; seating area; walk-in closet; and a spa-inspired bath with two stone vanities, a soaking tub, and steam shower. The main house also features a home theater and large gym.
Outside, there’s a 65-foot pool, barbecue station, fire pit, and a cabana with a game room. A gorgeous guesthouse with its own primary suite, chic bath, and plunge pool completes the property.
Simmons, 27, has played in only 57 games in the past three seasons—injury has kept him on the sidelines. A native of Australia, he was the No. 1 draft pick in the first round in 2016. He comes from a hoops-loving family, as his father played 13 seasons with the Australian National Basketball League.
