Instead of a typical log cabin, this popular cabin in Broken Bow, OK<\/a>, is clad in stone.<\/p>\n

On the market for $739,000, \u201cRomancing the Stone<\/a>\u201d is a luxury cabin that\u2019s in demand on vacation rental sites.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt got its name when we were sitting around a campfire. We narrowed it down to a couple of names, and we figured \u2018Romancing the Stone\u2019\u2014since there aren\u2019t that many stone cabins,\u201d says listing agent and cabin owner Maureen Kile<\/strong>, with Coldwell Banker. \u201cIt would play on the movie, and it\u2019s something people would remember.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two-bedroom cabin was built in 2016 and measures just under 1,400 square feet.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s got a real rustic tin roof in the living room that is kind of cool,\u201d Kile says. \u201cIt just feels really open when you walk in and is flooded with natural light. The double-sided fireplace catches our eye because it\u2019s floor-to-ceiling.\u201d<\/p>\n

As you\u2019d expect in a country cabin, wood walls are everywhere. However, the kitchen adds a distinctive pop of color.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the cabinets in the kitchen. It\u2019s like an aqua kind of blue, and it\u2019s so beautiful,\u201d Kile says.<\/p>\n

But the kitchen isn\u2019t the only unique thing about this cabin. In a universe where farmhouse style reigns supreme, the rocky exterior sets this place apart. A facade with multiple windows means this isn\u2019t a dark and gloomy cabin inside.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt stands out because of the rock\u2014since most of them have wood exteriors,\u201d Kile says. \u201cThe newer ones are more of a farmhouse style.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2019, HGTV filmed a segment at the house when a family from Texas with a new baby wanted to buy a vacation cabin the in area. \u201cIt was the one they selected,\u201d Kile says.<\/p>\n

Kile bought the place about nine months ago, and it\u2019s been a popular rental, going for between $280 and $375 a night.<\/p>\n

\u201cI stay there myself every once in a while, but it\u2019s hardly ever open for me to do that,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

It sits within a national forest in Hochatown, an area about three hours away from the larger cities of Shreveport, LA<\/a>, Dallas<\/a>, and Oklahoma City<\/a>. Tucked in the southeast corner of the Sooner State, it\u2019s an area that\u2019s growing in popularity. The cabin is also close to Broken Bow Lake.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a ton of pine trees, and it\u2019s a very off-the-grid-type thing,\u201d Kile explains. \u201cPeople like to come there from those directions to get away. The phone doesn\u2019t work very well when you\u2019re surrounded by pine trees, so it\u2019s a great place to relax and spend time with your family and get away.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sale price includes the pool table, hot tub, and fire pit.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything is in there, all the way down to the silverware,\u201d Kile says.<\/p>\n
