The current owners purchased the place in 2014 for just $153,000. They then got to work. While creating a fantasy world, they also installed electricity, water, and gas lines. Ultimately, the once-primitive property was transformed into a popular bed-and-breakfast known as Foxbriar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Offered fully furnished, the repurposed, three-bedroom residence is filled with antiques and \u201ctreasures from around the world,\u201d according to the listing.<\/p>\n

\u2018Unique property\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe sellers created this unique property when they bought it,\u201d says listing agent Kimberly Womble<\/strong>, of Dwellings Realty Group. \u201cWhen they purchased the home, it spoke to them. They want guests who come here to step out of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Every space in the storybook-style home tells a story. The front door was reclaimed from Prescott\u2019s first high school building and leads to a living area that is adorned with solid, mahogany-wood columns and wooden doors that are said to have come from San Antonio, TX<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe owners redid everything when they bought it,\u201d Womble notes. \u201cHe owns multiple properties, one of which is an Airbnb property designed to resemble a pirate ship.\u201d<\/p>\n

But this playful property pays homage to a fictional family known as the Foxbriars. There\u2019s even a photograph of them, hanging in the upper hallway.<\/p>\n

Other unusual highlights include a rug said to be from a brothel in Reno, NV<\/a>; a 1954 vintage kitchen stove; and an antique, European marionette in the primary suite.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sellers would love someone to buy it and live in it,\u201d Womble says. \u201cIt\u2019s truly an experience living here; it\u2019s not just buying a home.\u201d<\/p>\n

Historic collectibles include a Spanish-American War getup mounted above the circa-1900 piano, along with a working, vintage Philco AM clock radio. Pinewood floors in the upper hall and library are believed to predate the Civil War.<\/p>\n

Also located on the nearly half-acre property is a carriage house with windows salvaged from a historical fort and a vintage car.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe carriage house also has a 1931 Model A Ford truck inside that he is selling separately,\u201d Womble notes. \u201cThere is also an open-air vinery that is stunning. It has an outdoor, formal dining area where they have hosted weddings and events.\u201d<\/p>\n

A charming wagon that was created by the seller is on the property, too. Meanwhile, a \u201csecret garden\u201d awaits in the back corner of the lot.<\/p>\n

For the next buyer, the unique property offers a fun escape from reality while being close to everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a five-minute drive downtown to Prescott,\u201d Womble says. \u201cIt\u2019s also at the base of Thumb Butte, which is great for hiking.\u201d<\/p>\n
