The retired actress and her musician husband, Benji Madden, have joined a crowd of fellow A-listers and snapped up a vacation home in the tony seaside enclave, according to the website Dirt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Notable neighbors include\u00a0Oprah Winfrey<\/strong><\/a>, Gwyneth Paltrow<\/strong><\/a>, and Ellen DeGeneres<\/strong><\/a>, among other celebrities.<\/p>\n

Diaz and Madden dropped $12.67 million on a six-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion spanning almost 11,000 square feet.<\/p>\n

Built around 2000, the home underwent a \u201cjaw-dropping transformation\u201d and was offered totally turnkey.<\/p>\n

The couple can look forward to easy living at their new retreat, where they can relax, enjoy the star\u2019s line of organic wines<\/a>, and take in the \u201cinspiring\u201d ocean, island, and mountain views.<\/p>\n

Montecito Mediterranean<\/h2>\n

The contemporary Mediterranean came on the market in March for $15,750,000, which means the couple scored a 20% discount.<\/p>\n

The roomy residence features an open floor plan with a luxe kitchen with a waterfall marble island, media room, dining area, office, and multiple flex rooms. There are French doors throughout, offer indoor-outdoor flow.<\/p>\n

The primary suite is up one floor and comes with dual baths, walk-in closets, a bar, and a balcony with ocean views. Another en suite bedroom is on the main floor.<\/p>\n

Outside, the 1.77-acre estate boasts a pool and spa, cabana, and barbecue area. Set behind dual gates, the gorgeous grounds are lined with hedges for added privacy.<\/p>\n

Diaz and Madden have scored some serious real estate over the years. In late 2020, they paid the $14.7 million list price for a modern farmhouse in Beverly Hills<\/a>.<\/p>\n

They also reportedly own a $9.5 million condo in New York City<\/a>, and Diaz has held on to her longtime home above the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Before she retired from acting in 2018, Diaz was one of the most bankable Hollywood stars. The native Californian starred in \u201cCharlie\u2019s Angels,\u201d \u201cBeing John Malkovich,\u201d \u201cMy Best Friend\u2019s Wedding,\u201d and other films, and she voiced the role of Fiona for the \u201cShrek\u201d franchise.<\/p>\n

Madden is the guitarist for Good Charlotte<\/strong>. He formed the band with his identical twin brother, Joel Madden, who is married to Nicole Richie.<\/p>\n
