\u201cThe secret garden in the backyard of this home is just a really cool space,\u201d says listing agent Janice Bosworth, of Coldwell Banker Realty. \u201cIn the 1980s, the owner planted 250 rare and exotic trees. Over the years, some didn\u2019t make it\u2014while the others that remain have almost a Smithsonian-like cataloging.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s really neat is there is just one TV on the property. They built the property around the land, so there are floor-to-ceiling windows around the back that offer just spectacular views of the garden,\u201d says Bosworth. \u201cThe family spends all of their time enjoying the yard.\u201d<\/p>\n

The main home boasts a number of eco-friendly features, including a metal roof with conduits ready for solar panels, radiant floor heating, and a hydronic HVAC system.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe outbuilding is really cool as well,\u201d Bosworth adds. \u201cThe current owners are artists, so they use it as a studio, but you could transform it into a yoga studio or home office. There are industrial garage doors that open to a view of the backyard that is spectacular, and there is also heating and plumbing in the building as well as a stereo system.\u201d<\/p>\n

The current owners have geared the entire house around simplicity and nature, so Bosworth believes that will also be important to a new owner.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe next owner will be someone who appreciates and is looking for that lifestyle,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s a place where you can feel completely isolated and far away from everything. It will be someone who appreciates simplicity, the beauty of the yard, and the convenience as well. You just open the back door and enjoy nature.\u201d<\/p>\n
