Los Angeles Lakers<\/strong> forward Rui Hachimura<\/strong> has made a significant real estate investment in Encino, CA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Japanese-born baller just spent $7,250,000 on a modern manse with six bedrooms, 6.5 baths, and more than 7,300 square feet.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Hachimura has money to spend after signing a three-year, $51 million contract with the Lakers last summer. Here are a couple of shots of his new digs, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This brand-new residence is billed as a modern farmhouse in the listing details; but from the few glimpses we\u2019ve seen, it appears to lean more contemporary than rustic.<\/p>\n

The design is clean, with a dark facade and abundant glass to help flood the space with that Southern California sunshine.<\/p>\n

High-end materials were used throughout, including Douglas fir, white oak, natural stone, as well as metal and glass finishes. There\u2019s a superluxe kitchen with two islands and a butler\u2019s pantry, along with a home bar, an office, a personal gym, and screening room.<\/p>\n

The master suite boasts elegant details, such as a large balcony, walk-in closets, a huge double shower, and soaking tub.<\/p>\n

Naturally, there\u2019s a pool in the private backyard, where olive trees and cypress dot the landscape.<\/p>\n

The exterior also features a spa, cabana, an outdoor kitchen, a fire pit, and space to lounge. And the home comes with an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) with its own living area and kitchenette.<\/p>\n

Hachimura is the first Japanese national to ever to be drafted in the first round of the NBA draft, joining the Washington Wizards<\/strong> in 2019. In his rookie season, he won the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year award. After four seasons with the Wizards, Hachimura was dealt to the Lakers in January 2023.<\/p>\n
