At long last, \u201cTop Gun: Maverick\u201d is set to land in theaters at the end of May. A-lister Tom Cruise<\/strong> will step back into the cockpit and reprise his role as test pilot Maverick.<\/p>\n

Now 59, the seemingly ageless performer has been box-office gold since the 1980s. His hits include \u201cCocktail,\u201d \u201cJerry McGuire,\u201d and \u201cA Few Good Men.\u201d The father of three also starred in the \u201cMission: Impossible\u201d franchise, the latest of which is the upcoming \u201cMission: Impossible \u2013 Dead Reckoning.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the superstar set to take off on the big screen, we thought we\u2019d take a spin through the actor\u2019s real estate.<\/p>\n

Along with starring in blockbusters over the decades, the \u201cMission: Impossible\u201d star has been busy when it comes to pricey real estate. In many cases, the paparazzi-averse Cruise tends to buy up multiple lots in extremely private locales.<\/p>\n

So don your aviators, and let\u2019s head into the \u201cproperty zone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clearwater condos<\/h2>\n

The star\u2019s latest \u201cmission\u201d: a move to a giant spread in Clearwater, FL<\/a>. He dropped $9,580,500 on a 20,826-square-foot, two-level penthouse in 2017. It\u2019s located in the Skyview tower<\/a>, which was reportedly altered to accommodate Cruise, according to the Tampa Bay Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The actor\u2019s lavish living quarters include four bedrooms, a gym, game room, home theater, roof deck with an infinity pool, hot tub, gardens, and a bar, according to the Times.<\/p>\n

The penthouse boasts a private garage with a car elevator on the second floor. That level also apparently includes a flight simulator. (Perhaps Cruise could get in some practice for his \u201cTop Gun\u201d role?) There\u2019s also office space and a sports storage area.<\/p>\n

Cruise paid an additional $1,475,000 for three more condos in the Clearwater high-rise, perhaps for staff or relatives.<\/p>\n

The building, developed<\/a> by fellow Scientologist Moises Agami, is located just blocks from the Church of Scientology headquarters. Cruise has been a member of the church since 1986.<\/p>\n

Terrific in Telluride<\/h2>\n

More recently, the \u201cRisky Business\u201d actor took care of a piece of business in the Rocky Mountain region. He sold<\/a> his longtime Telluride, CO,<\/a> ranch for a whopping $39.5 million.<\/p>\n

Cruise had held on to the 320-acre mountain retreat for decades, before trying to quietly sell it for $59 million<\/a> in 2014. It was relisted in March 2021 for $39.5 million<\/a> and quickly sold.<\/p>\n

Cruise spent years amassing the land, then built a 10,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom home in 1994.<\/p>\n

The picturesque home was the setting for a photo shoot with Vanity Fair magazine featuring his daughter Suri<\/strong>\u00a0with his then-wife Katie Holmes<\/strong>. Oprah Winfrey<\/strong> also interviewed Cruise at the home in 2008.<\/p>\n

The main house includes a chef\u2019s kitchen, fitness center, rec room, den, office suite, two fireplaces, and multiple terraces. There\u2019s also a three-bedroom guest lodge.<\/p>\n

Though secluded, the retreat is just minutes to Telluride and a two-hour private jet flight from L.A.<\/p>\n

Lavish in Los Angeles<\/h2>\n

Before decamping to the Sunshine State, the busy actor let go of his holdings in La-La land.<\/p>\n

In 2016, Cruise sold<\/a> the Beverly Hills<\/a> compound he had shared with\u00a0Holmes. The 1.2-acre spread changed hands for a startling $38 million. He had paid $30.5 million in 2007.<\/p>\n

The compound included a 10,000-square-foot mansion with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, a tennis court, a swimming pool, and a pair of guesthouses.<\/p>\n

That sale came almost a year after he sold his Hollywood Hills compound<\/a> to\u00a0Eva Longoria<\/a> for $11.4 million.<\/p>\n

Initially listed for $13 million, that property<\/a> featured two adjoining houses built in 2005 on an ultraprivate 2.75-acre lot. The compound consists of a three-bedroom French villa, a four-bedroom guesthouse, two standalone studios, and a quaint stone cottage.<\/p>\n

Cruise and Holmes leased a mansion in the 90210 for $55,000 a month from 2001 through 2008.<\/p>\n

Last offered for lease for $100,000 a month in 2016, the three-acre estate includes a nine-bedroom main house, a guesthouse, a pool with a spa, and a tennis court.<\/p>\n

Crash pad in New York City<\/h2>\n

Cruise sold his longtime East Village<\/a> loft in the American Felt Building for $3 million in 2013. He had picked up the pied-\u00e0-terre in 1984, following his starring role in \u201cRisky Business.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two-bedroom, 2,200-square-foot unit is said to contain a state-of-the-art gym. It\u2019s located on the 10th floor of the 12-floor building.<\/p>\n

Cruise reportedly shared the condo with all three of his ex-wives, including Mimi Rogers<\/strong> and Nicole Kidman<\/strong>. The building housed other notable residents, including author Bret Easton Ellis<\/strong> and the Strokes<\/strong> drummer Fabrizio Moretti<\/strong>, the Real Deal reported<\/a> at the time of the sale. Cruise\u2019s loft was sold in an off-market deal.<\/p>\n
