There are a handful of other homes on the island, but they\u2019re well-spaced out.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re on property, you could be anywhere in the world. You don\u2019t know where you\u2019re at. There\u2019s no feeling of civilization. It\u2019s just you on an island,\u201d McMurray says.<\/p>\n

The area is a haven for nesting loggerhead and other turtles thanks to the miles of pristine beaches, he adds.<\/p>\n

Built in 2011 by owners who loved to travel, the 3,014-square-foot house evokes Bali or Polynesia with its open design and tropical setting.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe woodwork was custom-done by carpenters, just incredible woodwork,\u201d McMurray adds. \u201cJust the feeling of it is just amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms, all featuring amazing views.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe sunset doesn\u2019t get any better, and it\u2019s all you. There\u2019s nobody else, just you and your friends and whomever you want to come out,\u201d McMurray says.<\/p>\n

With 80 solar panels, 2,500 gallons of propane, a well, and a backup generator, the home is completely off the grid. It is equipped with the latest technology, including a reverse-osmosis system for water and batteries for backup power.<\/p>\n

The island house is close to amenities on nearby Boca Grande<\/a> and other islands as well as the mainland.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy boat, it\u2019s probably quicker to get here than a lot of places by car in the same area because you\u2019re dealing with traffic. But there\u2019s no traffic on the water,\u201d McMurray explains. \u201cA lot of the restaurants that are on water are five to 20 minutes away, where you can eat some of the best, fresh fish.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the property comes with a multimillion-dollar price tag, McMurray says it\u2019s a bargain.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t even imagine what this would cost to build today,\u201d he says. \u201cTo barge these materials in to build this today with the construction costs and supply chain that we\u2019re dealing with right now and the labor, you couldn\u2019t build it anywhere close to what we\u2019re offering it at.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sellers say it\u2019s time for someone else to love the property like they have, although they\u2019re sad to let go of it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s tough. I\u2019ve seen the guy that owns it break down in tears because of the memories that they\u2019ve had with their family and friends and just the passion that went into creating this property,\u201d McMurray says.<\/p>\n
