Atlanta Hawks head coach Quin Snyder had hoped to net much more than he ended up getting in the sale of his Salt Lake City mansion.

The former Utah Jazz head coach had listed his home in July 2022 for $12.75 million, eventually reducing the price to below $10 million. In the end, the house was on the market for $7.75 million when a deal was clinched.

Yep, the buyer scored this swanky spread for around 40% off its original asking price.

The eight-bedroom, 7.5-bath home measures more than 12,000 square feet and sits on two-thirds of an acre. So did the new owner land a big-league bargain? Judge for yourself.

This lavish residence sits in a quiet, private neighborhood with jaw-dropping mountain views. The main living space features huge windows that showcase the gated property’s natural beauty. A gorgeous home office and dining room-library combo have abundant built-ins.

The nearby kitchen is accessible from the surrounding open-plan rooms and features a large island, wet bar, pantry, and breakfast nook. A primary bedroom has its own entryway, dressing area, deck, and walk-in closets. And the sumptuous main bath is nicely outfitted with a steam shower and soaking tub.

Other amenities include game and rec rooms, a home gym, sauna, bunk room for kids, and a bonus space on the top level that could be transformed into anything the new owner might want. There’s even an elevator that accesses the three main levels, plus a laundry room and a nanny suite with a patio.

Outside, there are gardens, pathways, a magnificent saltwater infinity pool, a veranda with a fireplace, covered patios, a sport/pickleball court, and a putting green. A five-car garage completes the package.

After eight years with the Jazz and six trips to the playoffs, Snyder resigned following the 2022 season. But he didn’t stay off the court for long. In February 2023, Snyder accepted a job offer to head up the Hawks. His stint in Atlanta is actually something of a homecoming—before joining the Jazz, Snyder was an assistant coach during the Hawks’ 2013-2014 season.
