Oscar-winning director James Cameron<\/strong>\u2018s knack for innovation, attention to detail, and sense of responsibility are equally apparent in his films and<\/em> homes. He is best known for his work on blockbusters \u201cTitanic,\u201d \u201cAvatar,\u201d and \u201cAliens,\u201d among others.<\/p>\n

You might even think of his Hollister Ranch a real estate blockbuster. And he\u2019s looking for a well-drawn ending to his stewardship of the remarkable, 102-acre estate with unrivaled ocean views. It\u2019s where he wrote parts of \u201cAvatar\u201d and its sequel, thanks to those coastal views fueling his imagination, he told the Wall Street Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He recently listed the beautiful, self-sustaining property for $33 million.<\/p>\n

Cameron and his wife, Suzy Amis Cameron<\/strong>, purchased the horse property more than 20 years ago for $4,375,000, records show.<\/p>\n

Since then, they\u2019ve been beautifying the grounds and structures, reducing the carbon footprint, and upping the style quotient.<\/p>\n

Natural materials such as wood, glass, and stone make up the private living spaces, which include an 8,000-square-foot main house and a 2,000-square-foot guesthouse.<\/p>\n

You can even ride your horses directly to the beach and up the coastline. How\u2019s that for romantic?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also located close to prestigious Montecito, where you just might run into A-list residents\u00a0Prince Harry<\/strong> and Megan Markle<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or Oprah Winfrey<\/strong><\/a>, while you\u2019re enjoying local wineries, farmers markets, chic shops, and cultural attractions.<\/p>\n

So why would the Camerons ever want to leave this slice of paradise? The director told the Wall Street Journal that they are \u201cscattered around too much,\u201d owning properties in New Zealand, Canada, Manhattan Beach, CA<\/a> ,\u00a0Crested Butte, CO<\/a>, and\u00a0Austin, TX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
