The sellers are ready for a new host to take over the 9,300-square-foot mansion, which they\u2019ve operated as an inn since 2008.<\/p>\n\n

Built in 1891, the red-brick mansion is located in the Concordia District, a neighborhood 2 miles west of downtown that\u2019s also referred to as the Bed-and-Breakfast District<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The German Renaissance Revival architectural style is a nod to Milwaukee\u2019s German immigrants of the late 19th century. The mansion served as a single-family home from 1891 to 1924, then converted into apartments over the decades.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, there are four themed suites and three bedrooms for guests\u2014all but two have a private bath. There are also the owner\u2019s quarters, a kitchen for prepping guests\u2019 breakfasts, and a two-car garage.<\/p>\n

Original hardwood floors, pocket doors, high ceilings, and woodwork add period charm while a conservatory, parlors, library, and formal dining room provide ample space for guests to spread out.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of their guests are coming for events in the area,\u201d such as weddings, says Thomsen. \u201cThey have a lot of return guests.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a successful run as innkeepers, homeowners Rick and Laura Sue Mosier<\/strong> are ready to retire. The Mosiers added a Victorian garden with Lannon stone pavers as well as new siding and off-street parking.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have really brought that property and business to what it is today,\u201d says Ferlindes.<\/p>\n

Laura Sue, who hosts afternoon tea for guests and nonguests alike, \u201cdresses in period costume,\u201d says Ferlindes, \u201cand spends time going through the history of tea. She\u2019s really a plethora of information relative to the family (who first lived in the house) and the city of Milwaukee.\u201d<\/p>\n

Schuster Mansion, which is listed on the city, state, and national historic registers, is a turnkey sale.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll the linens, silver, and furniture (are included). There\u2019s even a Schuster-branded vehicle,\u201d says Thomsen.<\/p>\n
