Lynch, who died in 2022, was a co-founder of Brininstool + Lynch, an architectural firm whose projects include the Racine Art Museum in Racine, WI,<\/a> and private homes in Chicago.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe details of this house are unlike anything I\u2019ve ever seen before,\u201d Lippitz says.<\/p>\n

Past the entry hall are soaring ceilings, the living room with a skylight, and a floating staircase. On the second level are three large bedroom suites, including the primary suite. Two more bedrooms are on the third level.<\/p>\n

Designed to be eco-friendly, the home features two roof terraces equipped with irrigation, geothermal heating and cooling, and radiant-heat flooring.<\/p>\n

The spacious home is equipped with floor-to-ceiling pocket doors, which turn some of the spacious areas into more intimate spaces.<\/p>\n

The lower level includes a family room that could also function as a playroom. The home comes with a five-car, heated garage attached to a mudroom.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe buyer is either somebody with a deep appreciation for the architectural purity of the house, or it could be for an athlete, or someone in the entertainment industry,\u201d Lippitz says. \u201cIt is a trophy house.\u201d<\/p>\n

The location is close to boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Plus, it\u2019s steps to the elevated 606 trail,<\/a> a former rail line that\u2019s now a walkable green space.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s one of the hottest areas of Chicago,\u201d Lippitz adds.<\/p>\n
