The owners also built an extra office with sound-dampening insulation for late-night gaming sessions.<\/p>\n

The house is on Tenas Chuck Moorage, a local historic district that aims to preserve the feel of the older floating-home docks. It\u2019s a charming area right on the water.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe quaint entry gazebo and colorful, individually painted mailboxes welcome residents and guests,\u201d says Ahlers.<\/p>\n

This particular home is located at the \u201cwide spot\u201d of the dock, which has made it the natural meeting point for neighborhood events, such as Easter egg-dyeing parties, caroling kayaker jaunts, jazz-quartet performances, and even lemonade stands.<\/p>\n
