A historic, Georgian mansion in Omaha, NE<\/a>, has just hit the market for $5,250,000, making it the state\u2019s most expensive home listing.<\/p>\n

The elaborate, nine-bedroom estate<\/a>\u00a0comes complete with its own chapel and recently made the Realtor.com\u00ae list of the Week\u2019s Most Popular Homes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Built in 1907, the 10,039-square-foot floor plan offers abundant luxury. From a library with a marble fireplace to an enormous, wood-paneled dining room, evidence of the home\u2019s history abounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recently found a photo album from 1927, and a lot of the fixtures found in the house today are as they were back then,\u201d says listing agent Richard Begley<\/strong>, of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Good Life Group.\u00a0\u201cThe ceiling fixtures and sconces match the pictures and are pretty unique to the home.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Omaha Archdiocese owned the property from the 1930s to 1971,\u201d Begley says. \u201cIn the 1930s, they put in the library and the chapel. One of the bishops had the stained glass installed. It sold to the current owner in 1971.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other highlights include a breakfast room, solarium, greenhouse, and an elevator.<\/p>\n

Plus, there is also a 1,652-square-foot carriage house with beautiful, brick fireplace in the living room.
