He\u2019s no longer at Fox News, but he\u2019s certainly not without a home.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t scroll your feed or turn on the news right now without hearing about Tucker Carlson<\/strong> and his sudden departure<\/a> from the news network. Of course, the conservative TV host\u2019s career disruption looks like a setback. But all is not completely lost for Carlson\u2014especially if you consider his real estate holdings.<\/p>\n

So, in light of the week\u2019s events, a small survey of his many homes up and down the country\u2019s Eastern Seaboard seems to be in order. Here\u2019s a look at the pundit\u2019s former and current properties.<\/p>\n

Current: Boca Grande, FL<\/h2>\n

It seems Carlson has a penchant for this little Sunshine State village on Gasparilla Island, as he owns not just one property there\u2014but two. He first shelled out $2.9 million in January 2020 to live in Boca Grande, FL ,<\/a> buying this four-bedroom, 4.5-bath, 2,870-square-foot dwelling, Dirt<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

The 1960s home sits privately, surrounded by lots of tropical foliage (date palms, willows). It features terrazzo floors and cypress-wood decor. There\u2019s a fireplace and a renovated kitchen in the main house, as well as a separate one-bedroom, one-bath guest cottage near the courtyard pool.<\/p>\n

Just a couple of years later, in August 2022, Carlson quietly picked up a second \u201960s-era house right next door for $5.5 million, according to Dirt<\/a>. It\u2019s similar in size to the neighboring home, with three bedrooms and 3.5 baths, spread over about 2,800 square feet.<\/p>\n

Current: Woodstock, ME<\/h2>\n

Carlson\u2019s real estate mantra just might be \u201cPalms in the winter, pines in the summer,\u201d as his Florida properties are nicely balanced by a hot-weather retreat in the cool woods of western Maine.<\/p>\n

The former news host has apparently spent decades summering in this tiny town in Oxford County, near Bryant Pond, and has owned a home there since September 2020.<\/p>\n

Carlson even bought a separate building he had reportedly planned to convert into a studio, so he could broadcast his shows without leaving the state. The old garage<\/a>, which reportedly cost him $30,000, is just down the road from his home in Woodstock.<\/p>\n

Now, with his change in employment status, it\u2019s unclear what will become of this space. But according to reports<\/a>, the property is being kept up by a local groundskeeper for whenever Carlson decides to visit.<\/p>\n

Former: Washington, DC<\/h2>\n

Carlson has owned two homes in the nation\u2019s capital, but both have been offloaded over the years. His first sale<\/a>, in September 2017 for $2,040,000, was a nearly 4,800-square-foot, seven-bedroom, 5.5-bath manse, built in 1941. But he made just a tiny profit on the house, since he purchased it for $2 million in 2011.<\/p>\n

Carlson\u2019s second DC sale<\/a>, located just a mile away from his other DC property, came in July 2020. And it was also a wash, financially speaking.<\/p>\n

He paid $3,895,000 for the much larger five-bedroom, seven-bath home, spread over 7,400 square feet, but sold it for a mere $3,950,000.<\/p>\n

This mansion, below, looks almost exactly like his other one\u2014with the same window configuration and a bright red door, flanked by similar columns and side lights.<\/p>\n
