That didn\u2019t scare away one buyer, who didn\u2019t take long to lock in an offer. Listed for $275,000, the four-bedroom home was sold within eight weeks for $315,000\u2014an increase of $40,000.<\/p>\n

The seller reportedly acquired the cells from a nearby jail. They are said to have held gangster John Dillinger<\/strong>\u00a0during the Great Depression.<\/p>\n

The 6,467-square-foot home<\/a> racked up tens of thousands of clicks, making it\u00a0the most popular home on\u00a0Realtor.com\u00ae<\/a>\u00a0in 2022.<\/p>\n

\nWhy it\u2019s here: Mark Wahlberg<\/strong>\u2018s\u00a0megamansion caught viewers\u2019 eyes when it first hit the market in the spring<\/a> for a whopping $87.5 million, and again earlier this month when he slashed the price by $8 million<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Located in North Beverly Park, the opulent 30,500-square-foot estate features 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms.
