The winding streets and rustic hills of Laurel Canyon have long been favored by popular musicians of all genres, from Jim Morrison and Joni Mitchell to Demi Lovato and Pharrell Williams. And recently, singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright listed his historic home in the melodic enclave.

His storybook Los Angeles Tudor, built in 1926, just hit the market for $2.2 million. Records indicate he purchased the unique, three-bedroom, 3.5-bath property in 2016 for $1,450,000.

Other interesting elements include a cozy office alcove with a window seat that overlooks the canyon, and a two-car garage—a real luxury, as parking in the area is scarce.
