Actress Sutton Foster, best known for her role in “Younger” and her work on Broadway, wants to sell her Tuxedo, NY, escape for $2.2 million.
The seven-bedroom, five-bathroom property is more than 4,100 square feet and about an hour’s drive from Manhattan.
Built in 1895, this historic residence was dreamed up by famous Gilded Age architect Bruce Price, who lived here with his family. His daughter was Emily Post, a popular author and socialite who wrote about etiquette.
The estate is surrounded by mature trees and beautifully landscaped gardens.

A renovation
The property underwent an extensive renovation in 2015, when everything from the electrical to the plumbing system were updated. The owners also installed a fire-suppression system and a full-house generator. While the renovation further modernized the space, it also preserved and celebrated the home’s historical design.
Foster, 48, got her start in theater, appearing in the Broadway revivals of “Anything Goes” and “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” among others. In 2015, she took on the lead role of Liza Miller in the TV series, “Younger.” Foster has won two Tony awards and was nominated for a Grammy.
